Cabaret artist Sia Korthaus is not a Christmas hater, on the contrary. She loves Christmas and shows us with satirical humor what big and small obstacles we have to overcome before the long-awaited holidays. On the festive day itself, a family reunion awaits with relatives you couldn’t have chosen, plus toddlers buried under mountains of presents and a half-dried Christmas tree whose trampled needles leave a romantic pattern in the real wood parquet.
Sia Korthaus has found her own way of dealing with this. Christmas carols interpreted in a different way are just as much a part of the program as Grandma Emmi, who once again takes the festival of love far too literally, or the attempt to score points with nephews and nieces as the first female Santa Claus.
