ARTISAN MARKET – EDESHEIM CASTLE

28th pottery and artists’ market with music on October 04 / 05, 2025

For the 27th time, 50 potters, craftspeople, artists and musicians will meet in the park-like courtyards of Edesheim Castle near Edenkoben. Professional craftsmen and artists show the whole spectrum of creative work – traditional crafts in a modern guise – there are no limits to the imagination.

Industrially manufactured “arts and crafts”, merchandise and certainly no “globalized arts and crafts” from the Far East will not be found here! For 22 years, this beautiful and sophisticated event has enjoyed steadily increasing visitor numbers and this year, too, visitors can expect a huge program (see: www.promusis.de )

Host country France

The artist Patrick Domenicone from St. Maurice les Cotes shows unconventional ceramics in combination with metal. Marianne Succord from Vigneulles les Hattonchatel shows bulls in raku firing technique as three-dimensional images of the cave paintings we know from France. RAKU firing, an old Japanese firing technique, is demonstrated by Gerhard Kollmar – life – from Ludwigsburg.

The special guest is Monika Nickel-Stein from Kindenheim. It shows wickerwork design with a twinkle in the eye – craftsmanship from its creative side.

The special guest – Hristiyan Dakov from Bulgaria presents hand-forged knives. “Blacksmithing at its finest”.

Kunstrickerei & Schmuck, Villa Romantica from Offenburg in Ortenau shows scarves, sweaters, etc.m…. hand-knitted from mohair, alpaca and silk.

Jazz matinee with “Lazulis” on the castle stage: gentle melodies and two-part songs – performed with guitar, Chilean harp and clay drum – uniquely beautiful music that invites you to linger. Saturday & Sunday 12 – 5 pm

Culinary delights of the castle gastronomy round off the program.

Admission is €5 for adults / €2 for young people (12 – 17) / children are free.
